Learn some dirty family secrets in this red-band trailer for The Campaign with Ferrell and Galifianakis

There's definitely more information revealed at the dinner table than you'd like to know in this red-band trailer for THE CAMPAIGN, but it's somewhat funny and revealing nonetheless, especially from the Huggins family.  The Jay Roach (MEET THE PARENTS) directed comedy, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, centers on two rivals campaigning for the same seat and the lengths they'll go in order to secure it.

Enjoy some family time:

The most surprising thing for me about THE CAMPAIGN is the R-rating.  It's a bold move for a late summer comedy.  Not that I'm complaining, as I prefer my comedies to be free to go where they want to go, but I was really expecting a PG-13 with this one.  It seems that most comedians are in a love/hate category with audiences, so this could go either way.  I dig both Ferrell and Galifianakis, so I'm game.

What say you?  Is this a theater or a rental?

THE CAMPAIGN starts punching babies on August 10, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: I don't know why, but I think Zach Galafianakis needs to do a buddy cop action comedy, maybe with The Rock or someone of that stature. What would you like to see him do?

I like me a good Will Ferrell comedy, toss in Galifianakis and that may guarantee a ticket

@ philalva77 I'm pretty sure a 9 year old saying he put a fire fly in his butthole along with some of the other stuff will do it.

Wow I am also a bit surprised by the R rating since it's a political film, but guess it's more raunchy than the earlier trailers make it seem. Looks funny though & i like both actors. Don't see what was red band though in that trailer.

I'm a fan of the actors, and political comedy, so I might make it out for this one. Particularly now. I wonder if they're going to be affiliated with political parties, or would that be too divisive. I rather hope they are, as this is already a seriously divisive time and both sides are looking pretty ridiculous right now.
