Lynch grabs Snake

07.10.2008
Jennifer "Yeah David's my dad but let's talk about me" Lynch is following her as-yet-unreleased thriller SURVEILLANCE with a trip into Bollywood's supernatural side.

Lynch will direct a horror tale called NAGIN: THE SNAKE WOMAN, based on the Indian lore about a shapeshifting reptilian female (and possibly the surprising number of dudes who are into that sort of thing). The movie will be shot simultaneously in Hindi and English, and will feature popular Indian actors Irfan Khan (A MIGHTY HEART) and the staggering Mallika Sherawat (pictured, yeah).

What's almost as intriguing as a gorgeous chick who turns into a murderous cobra is that the FX are being handled by genre veteran Robert Kurtzman, who's done duties on movies like WISHMASTER, ARMY OF DARKNESS, BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR, CABIN FEVER and BUBBA HO-TEP.
Extra Tidbit: Sherawat provided eye-candy (and impressive flexibility) to the recent Jackie Chan tomb-raiding chopsockey epic THE MYTH.
