Sometimes we get sent a video that’s so weird, I don’t even know what to make of it. Over the weekend we were sent a video of skateboarders Mike Vallely and Mike Escamilla on the set of PAUL BLART: MALL COP, the upcoming Kevin James comedy. It could very well have just been some behind-the-scenes footage but at the end there’s a full-blown skit with Kevin James in character. I won’t “ruin” it for you (I’m not sure there’s much to be ruined) but it’s terribly unfunny. It’s unfortunate that this is the first we see of James in character since this is very likely improvised and it’s co-starring a non-actor who isn’t well-versed in the ways of improving comedy. So let’s hope MALL COP the movie is better than MALL COP the skit, because this is what is best described as a FAIL.
