Mark Wahlberg & Leonardo DiCaprio Last month, we told you about Mark Wahlberg signing on to a then untitled Peter Berg directed drama about infamous 1970s drug kingpin Jon Roberts. Roberts was the subject of the 2006 documentary COCAINE COWBOYS and it seems, at least according to Page Six, that the film will be a feature remake of the documentary. What's more, Wahlberg has apparently convinced Leonardo DiCaprio to co-star as, according to an insider, "the airplane pilot who travels with Mark's character to obtain kilos of cocaine from Pablo Escobar." No word on Berg but it's assumed he's still on board to direct. The ridiculously in-demand Wahlberg can next be seen in M. Night Shams' ecological thriller THE HAPPENING, Peter Jackson's fantastical-ish drama/thriller THE LOVELY BONES, as the titular raging, melancholic DEA agent MAX PAYNE and in Darren Aronofsky's upcoming drama THE FIGHTER. The equally in-demand DiCaprio can next be seen in the Ridley Scott drama BODY OF LIES, re-teams with Kate Winslet in the drama REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and recently signed on to the live action AKIRA.

Extra Tidbit: The picture is a still from THE BASKETBALL DIARIES.

I'm In

I just got done watching Cocaine Cowboys - I'm really down for a movie version of the characters. The mood and scene in Miami during that time was something very insane. This could come off like a less cartoonish version of Scarface, which is good, but I mean....

Hey, was a time Cruise could've nailed Bats. But hat's off on the others.

Forgot to mention the once-more of DiCaprio and Scorsese. And thanks for bringing back nightmares of my childhood when I watched "Basketball Diaries" and felt like shit for about a week(and I mean that in the best possible way).
