Geek demi-god Edgar Wright very recently started filming on his comic adapted SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and he isn't wasting any time posting daily pictures of said filming over on his new site "Edgar Wright There". For those of you familiar with the novel, is this an accurate representation of the world of Scott Pilgrim? At least from what you see here? That's likely a "yes" considering it's Edgar Wright directing and he's awesome. In the film, Michael Cera plays the titular Pilgrim who falls in love with the beautiful Ramona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) but must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends before he can have her. No stateside release date has been set as yet but it's likely to be later this year. Click through to check out the rest of the pics.

Yes

It's actually pretty much a perfect representation of the Scott Pilgrim world. Like, "Watchmen" levels of accuracy. I didn't think it would even be possible for it to look this accurate in live-action.

I'm impressed that Wright keeps teasing glimpses of Alison Pill in costume as Kim Pine because he clearly understands that she's the best character and everyone's favorite (other than Wallace).

It's a little tough to make a 1:1 adaption only because the book's art is a pretty exaggerated and bare, in a weird way.

But this is s pretty good representation. And some elements are already appearing in the pics like the Sex Bomb-omb Logo and a riff on Rock Band with a label called "Lame Brand"
