A movie about waiting in line for Star Wars called Line Kings is on the way

You know the worst part about anything, ever? Waiting in lines. Whether it's the DMV, amusement parks, your mom's room, or movie premieres, waiting in line sucks. So Hollywood has come up with the bright idea to make a whole movie out of it in a new comedy called LINE KINGS about - you guessed it - waiting in line.

According Variety, LINE KINGS "will focus on a group of rabid Star Wars fans who camp out for four days on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre after Disney announces that the fans who are first in line after four days will win walk-on roles in the next film in the series — leading to a battle royale between two fan groups determined to be first."

What might even be more interesting is that it's going to be directed by Tony Dow, who played Wally Weaver on the original LEAVE IT TO BEAVER series in the '50s. In fact, this isn't even his first directing gig, though he's mainly worked in television, including episodes of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, BABYLON 5, and HOME IMPROVEMENT.

Now, while I've been giving the plot of this film the business, I actually think this could be fun, if done right. Fans can get pretty crazy sometimes, especially when it comes to STAR WARS and premieres, so we'll see how this turns out. I for one am pretty curious. But what do you Schmoes think? Sound off below with your most memorable "waiting in line" stories!

Extra Tidbit: I met Mark Hamill waiting in line at EPISODE III when it premiered at my (and George Lucas') hometown, Modesto, CA.

Lines will be a dead art with the new theaters offering reserved seating

Gone are the days of camping out for a Star Wars Prequel that would later rip out your heart. Now, its all about being first to buy and selling the slackers tickets for 10x the value.

My story

Here is my waiting in line story. I will set the scene, I was 11 years old and it was 1993 and we were going to see the original Jurassic Park. My older cousin driving us younger kids was putting on make up and it was taking forever. I must've complained that we were going to be late 10 times and every time I complained I was told there would be plenty of time. As we pull up the line is enormous and I basically yell "you've screwed us they are going to be sold out"!! Again I was told there

The anxiety was killing me, I got angrier with every ticket sold in front of us. With about 10 people to go in front of us they put up a handmade sign that said sold out Jurassic Park. I was crushed, and the only other movie to see was sleepless in Seattle. The whole time I'm in the movie I'm super pissed because I can hear the audience and loud action of Jurassic Park playing through the walls.

Ebert

I remember Ebert making an observation that some of these people like the hype and excitement more than the actual movie. IF this film can expand on that point, it will be cool
