My Bloody poster

The remake of MY BLOODY VALENTINE will run a deep red. Literally -- the blood will have depth (or the sense of it) thanks to the flick being shot in 3-D, so expect body parts and arterial spray to come hurling from the screen.

The movie, an update of the 1981 cult fave cheapie, stars SUPERNATURAL's Winchester brother Jensen Ackles as a guy who returns home to his small mining town a decade after the local Valentine's Day slaughter, only to encounter additional bloodshed. Jaime King, Kerr Smith and Tom Atkins also appear, while genre veteran Patrick Lussier (DRACULA 2000, the SCREAM series) orchestrates the carnage.

Empire got a nice crisp look at the Comic Con teaser poster -- looks like the murderous miner is definitely making his return. Click for big 'n bloody!

Extra Tidbit: Note: the poster is NOT in 3D. Stop touching the monitor.

I have fond memories of the original movie. Hopefully this won't be a lame rehash with some 3D thrown in. The Friday the 13th 3D sequel was sort of OK in the 80's.

Anyone out there who saw the original My Bloody Valentine at the 49th street Cinema in Union City?

Looks good.

I was a big fan of the original. It was one of the better slashers of the 80s, so I felt a little apprehensive here, but from all that I've seen its staying fairly close to the tone of the original while straying only a little in terms of the premise.

Err...never heard of the original, but this seems too cheesy to be honest. Stupid teen flick gore flicks are terrible in today's society so to be honest im not interested in this at all.
