Netflix’s ‘Trollhunters’ and ‘Stranger Things’ mashup trailer goes up to 11

Guillermo Del Toro's computer-animated fantasy series TROLLHUNTERS only appeared on Netflix beginning on December 23rd of 2016, but has already received a kickass mash-up trailer treatment by being paired with the streaming services other science fiction smash-hit, STRANGER THINGS. At a glance, one might wonder what each of the properties have in common, though if you consider that both series draw heavily from the roots of 80s nostalgia, the connective tissue will surely begin take form.

I have yet to sit down and watch Del Toro’s TROLLHUNTERS, though after enjoying the heck out of this trailer, I am officially putting it on my must-watch list. Personally, I’ve found the recent resurgence of using youthful characters from the 80s to be quite refreshing. Whether I’m riding bikes with Eleven and her friends while in search of Will, or battling trolls in a mysterious underground labyrinth of darkness, danger, and deception, that good old fashioned GOONIES or MONSTER SQUAD vibe sits real well with me.

Alright, that’s enough out of me. Check out this super cool trailer and let us know what you think of it in the comments section below.
