If a picture is indeed worth a thousand words, that new one of Dorian Gray, courtesy of Empire Online, is worth but one: Creepy as Hell. I know it’s more than one, I’m just too lazy to count any higher.
From director Oliver Parker, DORIAN GRAY centers on Ben “Prince Caspian” Barnes as the titular wealthy young socialite from Victorian England whose looks and health remain through the ages while a mysterious portrait of himself deteriorates with each sin committed and year that goes by.
The film, based on Oscar Wilde’s novel THE PORTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY, opens next month with a stop at the Toronto International Film Festival.
