Ong Bak 2 posters

05.26.2008
Tony Jaa's new film, currently titled ONG BAK 2 has gotten some more posters. They're pretty much what you'd expect, with Jaa whipping a guy's ass in one, and standing on an elephant in the other. If this guy was on Facebook, his interests would be "breaking bones", "kneeing chicks" and "mother f*cking elephants". If the title isn't changed, the film will be a sequel in name only to ONG BAK, about a young warrior who is raised by a bunch of martial arts masters from across Asia who each teach him their arts.

Extra Tidbit: Tony Jaa makes his directorial debut with this film.

MUTA

why is it silly? both are actors but Jai White's performances are more realistic, maybe Tony Jaa is great but his performances are exagerrated.
Also, MMA is not realistic, it full of rules but i agree, the closest thing to reality at times (although kyokushin might be closer)...
In real life people dont fight like the movies, but Van Damme or seagal portray, for me, a more realistic image than ,say, Jet Li's Wire-fu or Tony Jaa

I think calling Jaa only an acrobot and Jai White a real martial artist is sort of silly. If you join MMA expecting to do karate chops and "Waaaaaaaaa!"'s you'd get your ass kicked.

What confuses me about this is the fact that his movie "The Protector" was known as Ong Bak 2 in Thailand

Hmmm That does not really have to tone of Ong Bak at alllllll.

Extra Titbit: Actually he was going to direct this too but there is a fallout between the director and Tony. So in the end Tony decide he can do this simple job of directing.

How do i know this, my elder brother is a friend of the director. You can choose to believe it or not up to you.

Ok, but do they steal his elephant? Never a motivation has been so convincing, they should stick to it

haha, considering how crap his acting is, it'll be a laugh seeing how bad a director he is.

The stunts/fight scenes he does are nothing new either.

First one to sport some green.

I really dug the first film. I was blown away by the action scenes. Then I picked up The protector that was great but not like ONG BAK.

So I can't wait to see/own this on dvd!!!!

hmm..

as much as ong bak was great entertainment, I don't like tony jaa much, he's just an acrobat, not convincing. There real martial artists such as michael jai white who are highly underrated.
