Paul Rudd and Steve Carell have Dinner for Schmucks in this trailer

Steve Carell and his 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN co-star Paul Rudd are back, but the roles aren’t quite the same. Although Carell is still the lovable buffoon… and he does excel at it.

DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS (a remake of the French comedy THE DINNER GAME) comes from AUSTIN POWERS and MEET THE PARENTS director Jay Roach, and seems to have half of “The Daily Show”‘s past correspondents in it. Nice to see Ron Livingston too!

The synopsis: Tim (Rudd) is a guy on the verge of having it all. The only thing standing between him and total career success is finding the perfect guest to bring to his boss’ annual Dinner for Extraordinary People, an event where the winner of the evening brings the most eccentric character as his guest. Enter Barry (Carell), a guy with a passion for dressing mice up in tiny outfits to recreate great works of art.
