An ANT-MAN sequel isn't part of Marvel Studios' Phase 3 plans (although Paul Rudd's tiny hero will appear in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR), and president Kevin Feige recently said he doesn't know if there will be a follow-up. But if there is going to be another movie, director Peyton Reed would love to return to helm it. Reed also told Comicbook.com he is interested in doing a Hank Pym-centric prequel.

Listen, if we were lucky enough to be able to do a sequel or even a prequel, I'd be way into it. I've really fallen in love with these characters. I was always in love with the characters in the comic book world but there's a lot of story to tell with Hank Pym.

While an ANT-MAN prequel focusing on Pym sounds fantastic, Marvel seems to be all about moving forward with its movies, not backwards. However, if the film ends up pulling in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY-like numbers at the box office, maybe the studio will be open to the idea of doing a prequel.

USA Today has revealed a few of the exclusives that will only be available at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which includes this very cool looking Mondo ANT-MAN poster by Kevin Tong. The artist said his goals with the design were "to show Ant-Man's scale, the intensity of his transformation, and really just trying to make a poster as fun and dynamic as the movie."

ANT-MAN will hit theaters on July 17th.
