Pixar short Partysaurus Rex clip features lots of bubbles and techno music

100%

The TOY STORY gang returns to the big screen in a new short to coincide with the release of Disney/Pixar's FINDING NEMO 3D, this time focusing on the neurotic dinosaur Rex, as voiced by Wallace Shawn. PARTYSUARUS REX will focus on the titular dino as he lets his freak flag fly, while partying with the bath tub toys. It's hard not to love Rex and all his anxious antics, so it's pretty cool to see him get his time in the spotlight. Especially as a party maven dino.

Needs more bubbles:

To see the whole thing, you'll have to shell out the bucks for FINDING NEMO 3D, which opens on September 14, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: Which Toy Story character do you think should get their own short next? Personally, I'd like to see Sarge and his troops get an epic toy battle short.

Why is this not an animated series?

Why can Dreamworks make a series out of Kung Fu Panda and How To Train Your Dragon but Disney and Pixar can't make one out of this?
They have a stable voice cast, and perfect doubles for Woody and Buzz. C'mon Disney!

Because that's why Dreamworks quality control goes down: they spread themselves too thin.

And as for 'c'mon Disney' - that was the first thing John Lasseter stopped when he went over to Disney: stupid, cheap, money-grabbing spin-offs...

But that's exactly it, it doesn't need to be a "stupid cheap money grabbing" anything.

The stories are clearly still there for the Toy Story Universe, Pixar are still excited about the universe and there's obviously still a fan base. I'm not talking about a passing of the buck, I'm talking about a Pixar controlled, witty, CGI animated series.
