Species Collector’s Edition Blu-ray hits in July!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I have a special place in my heart for SPECIES.

It was one of the very first R-rated movies I ever saw. It was one of the very first horror movies I ever saw. And it was definitely the very first "Titty Flick" I ever saw. I'll ever forget how much boobage there was in the movie. It seemed endless to a preteen Mike.

Umm… Natasha Henstridge… Um…

Plus, that chick in the bathroom who gets her whole f*cking spine ripped out was mind-blowing to me back in the day. Hell, it's still top-notch effects work when I see it today!

And that cast! Michael Madsen, Ben Kingsley, Alfred Molina, Forest Whitaker, Marg Helgenberger, Michelle Williams, and the above mentioned Natasha Henstridge… That's got to be the best cast a sci-fi titty flick has ever boasted!

Here’s an update on the forthcoming Blu-ray courtesy of Scream Factory:

Earlier in the year we announced that the 1995 classic sci-fi hit SPECIES would be joining the Scream Factory family this Summer. Today we have more details to report on that exciting front:

– Official release date is scheduled for July 11th.

– This 2-Disc Set will branded as a "Collector's Edition" that will come with a slipcover (guaranteed only for three months after its original release date).

– The newly-commissioned front-facing artwork you see pictured comes to us from The CRP Group (Firestarter, Serial Mom, Rabid) The reverse side of the wraps will showcase the original theatrical poster art.

– We will be doing a new 4K HD film transfer. Bonus features and specs are still in progress and will be announced sometime in Late May.

– Pre-order now directly from our website @ https://goo.gl/1rGGFf
which includes shipping two weeks early plus a free rolled 18” x 24” poster of the newly-designed key art while supplies last!

Bawk. No special features announced at the moment. But no worries, we will let you guys know as soon as they are announced.
