Taco time, now in High Resolution! The Machete Kills international trailer has arrived

May. 30, 2013by: Alex Maidy

I am an unabashed fan of Robert Rodriguez's MACHETE. It was a completely ridiculous, over the top gorefest that just made me smile at the sheer insanity of it. I keep it ranked up there with SHOOT 'EM UP as my favorite intentionally bad awesome movies. When MACHETE KILLS was teased at the end of the movie, I knew we would continue to get these fun movies with celebrities enjoying going crazy. It has been far too long since we have had any news on MACHETE KILLS.

UPDATE: While we wait for the official domestic trailer, we now have the Spanish-language International trailer featuring Michelle Rodriguez and Lady Gaga in higher resolution. It made me smile to know we are in for another roller coaster of violence with Danny Trejo in the front seat.

Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federal agent Machete, who is recruited by the President of the United States (Charlie Sheen) for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer (Mel Gibson) who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet.

MACHETE KILLS features the return of Trejo, Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, and Lindsay Lohan. Joining the fun are Mel Gibson, Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen (aka Carlos Estevez), Sofia Vergara, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Zoe Saldana, Antonio Banderas, Edward James Olmos, Vanessa Hudgens, William Sadler, Cheech Marin, Alexa Vega, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. MACHETE KILLS opens September 13, 2013.

as stated below...Sadler...elite...

Sadler is great. He's in that elite cadre of character actors from that "certain era", like Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen, Powers Booth, Joe Pantoliano, (the late great) Brion James, David Andrews, William Fichter, Will Patton, Tom Sizemore, Michael Rooker, (the late great ) J.T Walsh...and these are just off the top of my head...but they don't make guys like Sadler anymore...that whole list (off the top of my head) is great.

You know you're screwed when Charlie Sheen becomes the President of The United States of America.

I gotta say man.....

I'm Mexican American and I got to say, the title to your article "TACO TIME...." Is highly offensive!!! I read and comment on articles here every day and love this site, but racial slurs and or nicknames that denote a race or culture like this, even if its in 'good fun' may not be taken that way everyone; and when your writing articles or editing JOBLO, I think it would be in your best interest to show some sensitivity when making fun of other peoples ethnic background or cultural identity. In short, it was in bad taste and again, I'm very offended as others in the Latino community should be too. Thank You

You do realize it was just quoting the trailer right. I'm not arguing you're point but you're proublem should be with the movie itself.

I watched the trailer again,

I am so seeing this movie as soon as it opens! And yes, Sofia Vergara's chest cannons rock.

I also lost it with "Carlos Estevez."

Say what you will but this looks like a good time at the cinemas to me. Machete catching the butcher's knife and throwing it back is easily one of the coolest things ever.

Really looks like a mess. I enjoyed the first one for what it was worth, but this doesn't look like a worthy sequel.

Whilst I love the entire stunt casting of the movie...

It must be said that I adore and am excited for William Sadler above all others, this man never got his due as a major player and it's a shame as he's just damn excellent. I had no idea he was going to be in Iron Man 3 until he just popped up on that screen and I actually laughed with utter joy at the pleasant surprise of it.

(I'm also excited to see Banderas in this, I had no idea he was putting in an appearance.)

At Bare Minimum

It gets me excited for the full trailer, something I have been waiting to see for literally years. For now I will just eagerly anticipate the Awesomness

The premise alone is worth it

I mean president charlie sheen lol that alone is worth the price of admission where else are you gonna see an arguably washed up actor as president that and the gratuitous blood shed

I thought the first one was laughable at best, but the trailer I saw in front of Hangover 3 was terrible. It just looks too much of a joke.

The thing is though, it has a hell of a cast. So if they all signed on for this film, then perhaps they learned from the first film and actually made a pretty good, enjoyable sequel. It'll just be nice to see Mel Gibson again in something mainstream.

The first one had a hell of a cast too so if that's your argument it's a little contradictory. Nothing personal, I dug the first one for what it was but am guessing you won't like this one either.
