That's right, a 'Mannequin' remake is on its way!

MANNEQUIN, the 1987 tale of boy meets inanimate object with boobs is being brought back to life.

The newly relaunched Gladden Entertainment are the ones responsible for this project.

Gladden produced movies such as THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS, WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S, and that Christian Slater gem GLEAMING THE CUBE. The company wants to modernize the plot and are looking to cast some "TWILIGHT-esque" kiddos in the lead. Galdden are said to be in early talks with studios, and looking for a writer.

Hmmm...I wonder if instead of Andrew McCarthy they will have someone like Miley Cyrus as an Abercrombie & Fitch employee, and she falls in love with one of the sparkly shirtless mannequins. Hey, it's possible.

I won't lie though, I am a sucker for cheesy ass 80's movies. MANNEQUIN wasn't bad on a Sunday when I was sick watching TBS. My only hope is that it has cheesy music and a fabulous replacement for Meshach Taylor.
