The Last Airbender Super Bowl spot bends several elements
Feb. 5, 2010

Is M. Night Shyamalan's latest twist ending that he made a good movie this time? We won't know for sure until July 2nd, but the Super Bowl spot for THE LAST AIRBENDER sure has plenty of flashy FX.
The live-action adaptation of the Miyazaki-influenced animated TV series (which drops the original AVATAR name, for obvious Cameron-related reasons) is set in a fantasy world and follows a reluctant young hero who can manipulate the elements using martial arts and CGI.

But yea, aside from that, we just have to pray the dialogue and acting is good.
I am and always have been a fan of M. Night so I'm not doubting him with this project.

I know practically nothing about the story or characters since I don't think I've ever seen an entire episode of the cartoon, but if this is just a sweet action movie with a shitty story I'll probably still come out...

I'm glad to see Appa (the main characters six legged flying bison) made it into the teaser. Sort of.
