The Last Jedi blooper reel proves the galaxy is filled with goofballs

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The threats facing the galaxy far, far away are very dangerous and serious and must be handled with determination and conviction. We’re dealing with dark forces and evil empires here, folks. Sadly, as evidenced by the new blooper reel for STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, the galaxy is in the hands of a bunch of silly people. The cast of the movie, including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Mark Hamill, were having merry ol’ time playing with the toys, putting on accents and failing to say “biohexacript.” Wait, did I even get that right? Okay, Boyega, I get your struggle.

The reel has hit the internet to mark the Blu-ray release of THE LAST JEDI, which went on sale yesterday. The Blu-ray does not feature the gag reel, but it does feature a ton of awesome behind the scenes featurettes, including a terrific 90 minutes documentary – The Director and the Jedi. It’s like buying two movies for the price of one!

The gag reel would’ve been a nice addition to the Blu-ray, but at least we’re getting to see it here. When you’re playing with plastic guns, plastic lightsabers and are pretending to fly a spaceship there’s no way you’re not going to get silly with it. That being said, filming the movie also looks very painful. Poor, poor Oscar Isaac.
