Trick’R Treat pic

SUPERMAN RETURNS co-scribe Michael Dougherty is making his feature directorial debut with the horror thriller TRICK’R TREAT and Warner Bros. was cool enough to slap us with the film’s first pic. What makes this flick seem as if it’ll break out of the trite, generic horror mold is the fact that it tells multiple (and interesting) interweaving storylines, Alejandro González Iñárritu-style. Here’s a little synopsis for ya:

Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.

It opens October 5th.
