Zookeeper gets voices

None of us were too excited upon learning that Kevin james was set to play the epynomous character in THE ZOOKEEPER. The idea of a bunch of talking animals giving him advice on how to win back the girl of his dreams–played by Rosario Dawson–seemed hackneyed and uninspired at best. But with news that Adam Sandler (a monkey), Cher (a giraffe), Jon Favreau (a bear), Sylvester Stallone (a lion) and Judd Apatow (an elephant), will all be providing their voices for the film, one can’t help but be a little intrigued. It’s hard to imagine guys like Apatow and Favreau spending their precious time on a project that was less than stellar, so perhaps there’s hope for this one yet. There was even a bidding war for the film’s script which MGM eventually won, and on October 8th, 2010, they’ll find out if it was worth all the fuss.
