Craig pimps out

I can't say I know much about the goings on of the SHREK franchise. The first one was funny, the second had Banderas doing Puss, but then I just tuned out. Or grew up, if that's possible... Dreamworks must've felt my lack of interest when casting the next one (which one is it now? 4th? 5th?) entitled SHREK FOREVER AFTER.

The newest member of the ongoing fairy tale sendoff is none other than the really funny Craig Robinson, whom I thank Kevin Smith and ZACK & MIRI for putting on my radar. The dude is one to watch among today's rising comedians, and judging by the increasing number of projects on his plate, I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Talking to the folks of BDK Reviews to promote new comedy THE GOODS, Robinson confirmed his involvement as a character named cookie, joining the returning cast of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. Not like all three of 'em are swamped with offers these days... The film comes out to rake in more dough on May 21, 2010.

Extra Tidbit: With Robinson and Ed Helms becoming big stars too, the cast of NBC's The Office must be getting quite costly...

Has anyone here seen Robinson as Daryl the Warehouse Foreman on THE OFFICE?! Sheesh...

PS) Yes, his cameos are always fantastic. Shrek is not.

I love Craig!
His cameo in KNOCKED UP as the club bouncer was when I really took notice of his talent. He had me in tears when he wouldn't let Leslie Mann and Katherine Heigl into the club: "I can't let you in cause you're old as fuck. For this club, you know, not... for the earth. "

Funny Dude!
He was hilarious in Zack and Miri and Pineapple Express and has done may cameos in films that i don't recall at the moment but the dude is Funny.

The only reason I still have faith in the SHREK franchise is SHREK THE HALLS, the short christmas film that was released with SHREK the Third when it came out on DVD, that short wat a huge improvement form the third film and really show...

Craig Robinson has to be one of the funniest motherfuckers out there. Had the best scene in Knocked Up, was the funniest character in Zack & Miri, perfectly added to Pineapple Express - etc., etc.

Hopefully his voice work in Shrek 4 will help it out.

the last shrek i saw was the second one.. this might make me watch it.
i loved craig in pineapple express, zack and miri, even that piece of shit miss march.
