Silent Hill in 2010?

Are you ready to go back to SILENT HILL?

It might be happening according to special makeup effects designer Paul Jones. He gave somewhat of an update,
“I was working on storyboards for that around the same time last year. It’s going to be pretty crazy. There’s a lot of cool stuff in there. Roger (Avary) has some awesome ideas and hopefully we’re going to bring that to fruition sometime next year.” Jones couldn’t comment on whether the script was complete, but smiled while saying so.

So is it finished? Or is the guy just really happy? Either way, it might be interesting to see another HILL film. The first was pretty decent. Gross as all hell too. I’m wondering if they will actually use the story from the second game or if they will explore other games in the series.

I tried to play SILENT HILL but could not get through it. Everything about it was really cool except for the fact that it scared the crap out of me. I was a total weeny about it and should try again one day.

The plot for the second game was about new character, James who goes to the HILL after receiving a letter from his dead wife, Mary that she is waiting for him in their “special place” within the town. I remember the game getting good ratings when it came out so maybe it will be the one to follow up with. Will this be what Avary works on after he gets out of the slammer? Maybe he’ll tweet us some updates.
