It was more or less confirmed today that Warner Bros. will be completely overhauling its SUPERMAN franchise, ignoring SUPERMAN RETURNS, and starting again from scratch. Warner Bros. Pictures Group president Jeff Robinov said that:
“‘Superman’ didn’t quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to… It didn’t position the character the way he needed to be positioned. Had ‘Superman’ worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009… But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all.”
Yes, let’s reintroduce him. So many people today know nothing of this hero. Often, you will see a picture of Superman flying through the air, or lifting a car, and someone will yell “who the hell is this clown?” That shit happens all the time. This guy definitely needs to be introduced to the world again.
