These three character posters for Argo are here to remind you how absurd the truth can get

I’ve been looking forward to ARGO for over a year, and now it’s nearly here.  I’m not sure what to do with myself.  Maybe I’ll become an adventurer.  Go into politics.  Look forward to SKYFALL.

What’s kind of cool about these posters is that they seem to be meant to work in conjunction with one another, each tagline building off of the one used in the previous poster.  I sadly can’t really imagine a movie theater taking up valuable advertising space to advertise ARGO, but I also don’t know how any of the posters would work without the other.  So keep an eye open when you’re out and about to see what is done.  In fact, keep two eyes open if you can – that way you don’t run into things.

The true story of ARGO comes full circle when its film adaptation hits on October 12th.

Plot recap: ARGO covers “the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis–the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades. On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA “exfiltration” specialist named Tony Mendez comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country.”
