If you've yet to venture out to your local theater and sit down for a screening of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, you may want to avoid the following as it does contain a few minor spoilers. It's no secret that Zack Snyder's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE contains introductions for many of our future JUSTICE LEAGUE characters, some larger than others, and one of those characters was none other than Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

The character's introduction in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE came in the form of a video diary viewed by Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) which showed Dr. Silas Stone (Joe Morton) attempting to salvage the mutilated remains of his son. It isn't until Dr. Stone brings a strange shape-shifting cube into the room that something interesting happens, said cube attaches itself to the remains of Victor Stone and begins to transform him into something more. Comic fans were quick to identify that cube as the Mother Box, one of several alien supercomputers which "attach themselves to a host and nurture and protect them in any way necessary, granting them abilities beyond the physical laws of the dimension they occupy." While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Snyder confirmed that the scene of Cyborg's "birth" was indeed our first glimpse at the Mother Box.

That’s the first glimpse of the Mother Box there, it was an agonizing birth.

With the character set to play a much bigger role in the forthcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE film(s), Zack Snyder wanted to make sure we witnessed the birth of Cyborg so we'll know how far Victor Stone has come.

I really wanted to show Cyborg’s birth because I feel like he plays such a strong part coming up, and I really wanted to give a sense of him.  I really want [the audience] to know how far he’s come.

JUSTICE LEAGUE – PART ONE will be released on November 17, 2017, with PART TWO following on June 14, 2019 and CYBORG on April 3, 2020. Once you've seen BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, make sure to let us know what you thought about the film!
