The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat: A Nightmare Elm Street Series

Man, do I ever love October. It’s that special time of the year when MovieFanCentral lights up like a smiling Jack O’ Lantern and everybody talks about horror movies. Well, The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat is definitely going to join in the festivities! Every week, we will be chatting about some of the greatest horror movies ever made. This week, we are kicking it off with a bang! This week we chat about an entire series of horror movies that serves as a landmark, both high and low, for the genre. We are discussing none other than the A Nightmare on Elm Street series!

Since last October, yours truly has been hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We’ve chatted about many awesome flicks such as The Evil Dead trilogy, The Shining, Dawn of the Dead and Tucker and Dale Vs Evil. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the flicks we all love with your fellow schmoes live. Opinions will be shared. Thoughts will be provoked. Fun will be had by all.

All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username. Come prepared with talking points or questions, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is discussing. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.

And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It’s great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don’t love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. Directly insulting someone will not be put up with.

b>A Nightmare on Elm Street is such a truly groundbreaking series of movies. I remember as a child of the 80’s just how much of a pop cultural phenomenon it was. Seriously, you couldn’t escape it if you tried. I even went to school with a Freddy Krueger lunchbox! And yes, I know just how f*cked up that is. For better or worse, this series definitely left a stamp on cinema history. If you love these movies like I do, then you will definitely want to join us this Sunday at 7 pm EST.
