THE SPIRIT Hot damn, the folks over at AICN just got themselves a delicious exclusive - the first teaser poster for THE SPIRIT, Frank Miller's upcoming feature adaptation of the seminal Will Eisner comic of the same name. Sure, the imagery is quite reminiscent of SIN CITY but that doesn't make it any less awesome. This thing is one big stylized geekgasm and if the movie delivers on this eye candy artwork, we're gonna be in for a treat. In it, Gabriel Macht stars as the titular cop who returns from beyond the grave to fight crime and tango with the villainous Octopus (played by Sam Jackson) while also finding time to bump uglies with an assortment of hotties including Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Paz Vega, Jaime King and Sarah Paulson. Too bad we have to wait until January 16th of next year to check this puppy out. In any case, clickie HERE to see the full grandeur of the poster.

Actually the art in this particular poster is very similar to the art of the comic. Everything else has looked like Sin City though.
