Thanks to consumer editing software and an online place to plunk the results, movie mash-ups are increasingly common. Sadly, they're often not nearly as clever in execution as the creators might think, but there is the occasional gem.
For example, blending STAR WARS with Paul Thomas Anderson's masterful THERE WILL BE BLOOD, with oil-man Darth Plainview and his complicated father-son relationship, results in the following inspired video. "Drraaaaaaiiinnage!!"

It's a concept that could produce some yucks, to be sure, but it didn't really work this time out. Just a series of random events and sound bites that never really fit what was happening on-screen.
