Meet the adorable little star of SPLICE, the Vincenzo Natali-directed, Guillermo del Toro-produced science-fiction thriller. Rotten Tomatoes has an exclusive clip from the flick, which I’ve embedded below. The clip features both Sarah Polley and Adrien Brody – but most importantly, the impressively-rendered creature at the center of this science-gone-mad story.

SPLICE revolves around two scientists who undertake illegal genetic experiments and create a new species fusing human and animal DNA. As the pair become global celebrities, the consequences of their accomplishment begin to become apparent.

SPLICE is about to have its world premiere at the Sitges Film Festival, and will hopefully be released around the globe next year. (I said that last year too, though.) Make sure to click on the “widescreen” button on the video below.
