300 sequel update

JoBloJoBlo

300 The Risky Biz Blog recently gave an update on the 300 sequel that’s currently in development at Warner Bros.

It seems original 300 graphic novel creator Frank Miller recently completed the first draft of a follow-up graphic novel but it’s unclear at this point whether it’s a straight-up sequel or a prequel. A prequel has been rumored for a while but apparently both a prequel or a sequel present problems, especially in finding the same beefcake stylized actiony tone that made the first such a hit.

While the film is still a priority at the studio and original 300 director Zack Snyder has expressed interest in returning to direct the follow-up, the wheels are turning at very slow rate at this point. If and when it does come together, it probably won’t be any time soon.
