“This is the land of ‘You’re On Your Own.'”

They might be Avengers, but Jeremy “Hawkeye” Renner and Elizabeth “Scarlet Witch” Olsen are going to have to rely on their wits and bullets to get out the jam they're in this time.

The second trailer for WIND RIVER has dropped, and it's pretty darn intense. The film comes from Taylor Sheridan, who has impressed more than a few with his screenplays for SICARIO and HELL OR HIGH WATER, the latter nabbing him an Oscar nom. This flick won him the Un Certain Regard Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival, so you know it's already packing some major accolades leading up to its early August release.

The synopsis:

WIND RIVER is a chilling thriller that follows a rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) who teams up with a local game tracker with deep community ties and a haunted past (Jeremy Renner) to investigate the murder of a local girl on a remote Native American Reservation in the hopes of solving her mysterious death.

Along with Renner and Olsen, WIND RIVER stars Gil Birmingham, Jon Bernthal, Julia Jones, Kelsey Asbille, and James Jordan. The film opens theatrically August 4th.
