After debuting its first episode with the launch of the Disney+ streaming service, The Mandalorian captured the imagination of fans right off the bat with its gritty world of bounty hunters, leftover Imperials, and of course, Baby Yoda. Much like the big-screen STAR WARS saga, The Mandalorian took its inspiration from plenty of sources, but for me, it was the spaghetti-western influence which rang strong and true. A second season of The Mandalorian is underway, which creator/writer Jon Favreau has announced will be hitting Disney+ in Fall 2020.
