We Talk Sicario: Day of the Soldado with Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

As a fan of SICARIO, even I was a bit surprised to hear about a sequel. Although, the fantastic SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO tells us that they certainly had another story to tell. With the return of Alejandro (Benecio Del Toro) and Matt Graver (Josh Brolin), the new feature also introduces us to the very talented Isabela Moner who plays an integral part in this dark new chapter. Taylor Sheridan has delivered yet another suspenseful and intelligent script, while director Stefano Sollima manages to create a sequel that is damn near equal to the original – if not slightly better.

We recently sat down with the fine talent involved in this excellent new film. First up we spoke to Benecio Del Toro, who discussed the moral ambiguity of the role and just how demanding returning to play Alejandro had been. As for Josh Brolin, the actor has had quite a year. He discussed playing Thanos in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, Cable in DEADPOOL 2, and of course returning to play Matt Graver. And finally, we spoke to the incredibly talented young actress Isabela Moner. She talked about working with Del Toro, taking on this intense new film, and her upcoming DORA THE EXPLORER.

If you are a fan of SICARIO, you will not want to miss DAY OF THE SOLDADO. Check it out this Friday at a theatre near you.
