Professor Marston & the Wonder Women debuts intriguing trailer

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

So this is cool! Apparently they're doing a biopic about the creator of Wonder Woman – a one Dr. William Moulton Marston (played by Luke Evans) – who was quite the interesting character. Not only was he a psychologist who invented Wonder Woman and the polygraph lie detector test, but was also in a polyamorous relationship with his brilliant wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston (Rebecca Hall) and another woman Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote), who all delved into BDSM. Not only that, but while adding some of his own fetishes into the stories, the creation of Wonder Woman was always explicitly a feminist one – a hero that little girls could also look up to.

And judging by the following trailer, it looks like the film doesn't pull any punches on any of those facts. Let's take a look:

Color me intrigued.

Meanwhile, PROFESSOR MARSTON & THE WONDER WOMEN will be released in theaters October 27th, 2017.
