Ready or not, M. Night Shyamalan has a new movie hitting theatres this weekend. THE VISIT tells the story of two children that go off to grandma and grandpa’s but find that their mother's parents are a little bit nuts. It is an unusual film for Shyamalan, but he seems right at home with a smaller budget and working with Jason Blum as the film's producer. It is a crazy little genre flick with a little horror, a little humor and some wacky grandparents that nobody would want to visit.
Recently we sat down with both M. Night Shyamalan and Jason Blum as we discussed not only found footage, but how this film is slighly different. The two chatted about the director’s influences, as well as one thing I really liked, the urban legend feel behind the spooky goings on.
