TJ Miller and Ed Skrein may join Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

DEADPOOL is beginning to shape up as The Wrap is reporting a pair of actors in talks to join Ryan Reynolds in the long developing Marvel Comics movie. Sources cite TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION actor T.J. Miller and THE TRANSPORTER television series lead Ed Skrein as being in talks for the 20th Century Fox movie.

While it is unknown what role Skrein is up for, it could potentially be a foe for Deadpool. Skrein is best known for his turn as Daario Naharis on HBO’s GAME OF THRONES before joining the TRANSPORTER series. Miller has worked steadily on big and small screen projects, most recently as a voice actor in BIG HERO 6 and HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2. Miller also co-stars on HBO’s SILICON VALLEY.

The sources claim Miller’s role will be a comedic one that will play off of Reynolds’ character. Who that may be is a mystery but one would expect DEADPOOL will lean heavily on the comedy side as evidenced in the test footage leaked last year. Expect more casting soon as we are just about a year away from DEADPOOL’s release date, so director Tim Miller will probably start shooting by summer.

DEADPOOL hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
