We have been hearing rumors for quite some time that there is a full scale Millennium Falcon being constructed at Pinewood Studios in England for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII and beyond. It would only make sense with the connection to the original trilogy to bring back the iconic ship, but it looks like there may be a lot more being built for J.J. Abrams‘ film.
Den of Geek reports that the prop and model builders are being contracted for seven years, which includes the three films in the new trilogy as well as the three spin-offs. Getting all of the ducks in a row seems to be what Disney and Lucasfilm have been striving for, but there is an additional tidbit. The stages that are booked in advance at Pinewood list the STAR WARS: EPISODE VII requirements and beyond, but their office also lists INDIANA JONES 5.
While far from a confirmation, we have known for a good while that a fifth INDIANA JONES was on the horizon, especially with Harrison Ford wanting to do it. Booking a stage is likely just a formality, but the fact that it was even done as a precaution should give us more than a glimmer of hope. The likely answer is that Disney wants to hedge their bets and see what happens, but I would call this the most interesting development around INDIANA JONES since Disney secured full rights last year.
