Cool Videos: Pacific Rim trailer in Toho Godzilla style

I was happy about the overwhelming support that PACIFIC RIM received when it was released the same weekend as GROWN-UPS 2. Why people still went and saw a sequel to GROWN-UPS continues to baffle me, but by now means was I surprised. I know quite a few friends who actually went and saw PACIFIC RIM more than once. What’s better than robots and monsters going head to head? Not much.

For those who enjoyed the flick and those who also enjoy GODZILLA will like this fan-made cut of the PACIFIC RIM trailer. Youtube user honda brigit did a 50s Toho style cut. Toho Studios brought the first GODZILLA in 1954, and then gave us other films like MOTHRA and RODAN. Now it’s even more bad ass than it was before! It also makes me really want to see Gareth Evans’ GODZILLA movie.
