THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN has unveiled its very first clip – thanks to viral site Mark of the Spider-Man – and if you’re hoping for it to be a dizzying display of action or an interesting look at the film’s characters… you’re in for disappointment.
Instead, we’re greeted with a clip that, at best, feels truncated, and at worst plays like a deleted scene from the home video release. Why Sony would release such a dull clip as their very first is beyond me, especially since they have to know that web-slinger fans are not 100% sold yet on the idea of a Spidey reboot. I doubt this will turn them.

Synopsis: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.
