No poster or trailer yet, but how about some nice interesting WORDS out of the PROMETHEUS camp? Hey, it’s better than nothing, right?

We’ve heard rumblings about the plot for a while now, but this new synopsis released for the film via the PROMETHEUS Facebook page seems to have the most detailed information yet about what we can actually expect from the hotly anticipated film.

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Not super illuminating, but interesting to see the bit about the origins of life on earth. How do the ALIEN aliens fit into that? How about the Space Jockey (above) that was promised to have a central role in the plot?
