There was no clips shown for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES during Comic-Con, but Johnny Depp threw a few peanuts to the crowd and showed up via video as Jack Sparrow.
We may not have gotten a shot of Penelope Cruz as Angelica then, but we’ve got some now. Thanks to a site called, Radar Online some set pics of Cruz have emerged. Cruz plays Angelica, a woman from Sparrow’s past who may or may not be using him to find the Fountain of Youth. She forces him onto her Father Blackbeard’s (Ian McShane) ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge.
I’m pretty excited to see these two on screen together again. Last time they “romanced” one another was on the set of BLOW. Cruz played one crazy bitch in that movie, “Why don’t you f*ck me anymore?” This will be a bit of a departure from that role, but at least she still might be playing somewhat of a sinister part.
