Director Marcus Nispel (FRIDAY THE 13TH) is in talks to direct THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER. The film will be based on a chapter in Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” describing the arrival of the vampire count in England on a cargo ship that has crashed into the rocks at Whitby with no crew, and the dead captain lashed to the steering wheel.
I can’t say for sure that Jordana Brewster will be cast in this movie, but neither can I say that she definitely won’t. Did I just pull her name out at random so that I wouldn’t have to comment on a vampire story for the millionth time? Sure. But Marcus Nispel is an old dude with a beard, while the picture of Jordana Brewster will get you through the day. I probably won’t get a Pulitzer for this one, but believe me when I say I’m cool with that.
