If you’re not a fan of Ricky Gervais, the creator of the UK’s “The Office”, I suggest you check your head, and change your wardrobe. It is by far the funniest show in the history of time and I implore you to watch it.
Now knowing that, get stoked that Universal-based Illumination Entertainment is creating a 3-D animated feature based on “Flanimals,” a children’s book series by Ricky Gervais.
Gervais will voice the lead character, and the script will be written by Matt Selman (“The Simpsons”). The four-volume series, illustrated by Rob Steen, revolves around a world inhabited by 50 species of creatures so deformed and misshapen they eventually become cute and endearing. Kinda like David Brent.
