The next Jackie Chan!

JoBloJoBlo

Every now and then, when I’m watching POLICE STORY or SNAKE IN THE EAGLE’S SHADOW, I wonder where we’re gonna find the next Jackie Chan. Fortunately, Chan must have been wondering the same thing (he must have seen THE PROTECTOR [oh come on, Tony Jaa is a billion times more talented than I am but he cannot act] or something) because now he’s launching a reality tv show called ‘Jackie Chan’s Disciples’ where he searches for a young padawan that he can train and empower with the knowledge he has built up from years upon years of working with Brett Ratner and Chris Tucker. I imagine he has so much to tell. “A lot of actors are good at fighting, but (their style) is not beautiful…If you can incorporate dance with an ability to perform kung fu, that would be better.” Chan told Kung Fu Cinema. I don’t know, this sounds like a horrible idea to me. Is Jackie really gonna take some dude and replicate his own rigorous training in dance and martial arts that he had received from the age of 6? I guess we’ll find out.
