I went school with David Cronenberg’s nephew. I would even go as far as to call him a friend of mine. An even better friend of mine dated him, and she was able to catch a sneak preview of his latest film EASTERN PROMISES. She mentions a violent scene withe Viggo Mortensen in a spa, a scene that will supposedly be one of the most talked about of the year. The official site for Cronenberg’s new film, that sees him re-teaming with his HISTORY OF VIOLENCE leading man is now live, complete with an extensive synopsis. Cronenberg has certainly come a long way since his SCANNERS days, making more realistic and accessible thrillers. I feel honoured to be friends with a member of the Cronenberg family, and if you’re reading this Emmett, thank you for being my friend.
