The Predator Shane Black

Director Shane Black's THE PREDATOR will be in theatres this weekend, so we're running out of time to enjoy marketing materials before we see the full film. Thankfully, one of the last promos we'll see for the movie before it's playing on thousands of screens is also one of the coolest – the EXCLUSIVE red band TV spot we have shared below, which features some nice moments of bloody violence.

Written by Black and his THE MONSTER SQUAD collaborator Fred Dekker, THE PREDATOR is an "inventive sequel" to the 1987 sci-fi action classic PREDATOR and stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Sterling K. Brown, Yvonne Strahovski, Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Jane, Keegan-Michael Key, Alfie Allen, Augusto Aguilera, Olivia Munn, and Jake Busey. Busey is playing the son of the character his father Gary played in PREDATOR 2.

The synopsis:

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

Check out the humor, bloodshed, and mayhem on display in the TV spot, then get ready for THE PREDATOR to reach theatres September 14th.
