Isabelle Huppert just turned heads in Paul Verhoeven's thriller ELLE, but she's not ready to put down the mantle of "femme fatale with an E name." She has just been cast in French director Benoît Jacquot's upcoming psychological thriller EVA alongside Gaspard Ulliel, who played young Hannibal Lecter in HANNIBAL RISING.

They'll begin shooting this January in Paris, Lyon, and Annecy. The script, by Jacquot and Gilles Taurand, is based on the 1957 James Hadley Chase novel "Eve", which is:

Set against the background of the Hollywood film industry. The story revolves around Clive Thurston, who has swindled his way to fame, and Eve, an utterly worthless woman who is beautiful to look at but lethal to love.

EVA is being produced by Macassar Productions and Arte France Cinema.
