Jane Levy is terrified on the poster for Fede Alvarez’s Don’t Breathe

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

Director Fede Alvarez made his feature debut with the EVIL DEAD remake, and for his second feature he has re-teamed with his co-writer on that film (Rodo Sayagues), its producers (Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert), and leading lady Jane Levy (pictured dealing with the EVIL DEAD above). If the poster for the new film, which was brought online by Entertainment Weekly, is any indication, it looks like Alvarez is once again putting Levy through hell.

Previously titled A MAN IN THE DARK, and then going without a title for awhile, the project is now called DON'T BREATHE and recently made its premiere at the SXSW festival. Described by Variety as "a muscular exercise in brutal, relentless peril", DON'T BREATHE tells the following story:

Three teens who get away with perfectly planned home robberies have set their sights on one last payout that will get them out of crime forever. Their target: a reclusive blind man with millions of dollars in hiding. But as soon as they break into his home, the tables are turned and they find themselves trapped and fighting for survival against a psychopath with secrets of his own.

The three teens are played by Levy, Daniel Zovatto (IT FOLLOWS), and Dylan Minnette (PRISONERS). They should have known better than to pick on this blind guy; he's played by AVATAR's Stephen Lang. You don't mess with Stephen Lang.

Screen Gems will be releasing DON'T BREATHE on August 26th.
