Filmmakers release Jennifer Help Us online for free

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last November, we featured the trailer for writer/director Juan Ortiz's indie horror movie JENNIFER HELP US. Since then, the movie has made the festival rounds, gotten some good word of mouth, and even won some awards. Now, just in time for Halloween, the filmmakers have decided to release the movie for free online at its official site.

JENNIFER HELP US is

a story about a vengeful high school senior, whose violent kidnapping of a fellow student, collides with her town’s haunted house and its brutal past.” The feature length movie was shot in the tradition of the late 70′s early 80′s style horror films.

Made on a budget of less than $1000, the movie was shot entirely on an iPhone 4S, but the filmmakers have done a great job replicating the look and tone of the thirty to forty year old films they're paying homage to, achieving a visual style that greatly appeals to me.

When you have 69 minutes to spare, head over to JenniferHelpUs.com and see what can be accomplished with a micro-budget and a phone.
