James Franco continues to defy expectations with his behind-the-scenes cinematic career. His latest venture: an adaptation of Fight Club Chuck Palahniuk’s RANT, which the actor-director-writer-teacher-artist-poet just acquired.

Buster “Rant” Casey just may be the most efficient serial killer of our time. Rant Casey will die a spectacular highway death, after which his friends gather the testimony needed to build an oral history of his short, violent life.
